How to Get the Good Ending in BLOODMONEY Requiem

Reach $25,000 without Scissors — the longest, cleanest remaster route.

How to Get the Good Ending

Goal in one sentence

Reach $25,000 for the operation without ever buying Scissors (or any later tool). That is the remaster Good Ending for BLOODMONEY: Requiem’s remade booth campaign.

This walkthrough assumes the original tool ladder as the remaster baseline, plus one important Requiem remake shop nudge noted below. For the full ending list (booth + Requiem campaign finales and secrets) see All Endings and Requiem Campaign. Contrast with the Gun route on Bad Ending; prop secrets on Secrets & Easter Eggs. For day-one context start at Getting Started; for prices open Items & Shop. Index: Guides Hub.

Content warning: even the “good” route sits inside a gore-capable psychological horror game with flashing lights elsewhere in the product. Photosensitive players should not play.

Hard rule (do not break)

Buy this?Good Ending still possible?
Hands onlyYes
Feather ($100 / $2)Yes
Needle ($500 / $4)Yes
Hammer ($1,500 / $8)Yes
Scissors ($3,000 / $16)No — route locked
Match / Knife / GunNo

If the shop glows for Scissors and you are on a Good run, close the shop. Curiosity purchases force a restart.

Requiem remake note — Feather-only vs Hammer

On Requiem’s remake path, trying a Good Ending with only Feather can cause the game to force a Hammer purchase (a Cruelty Is the Only Option change versus the original, documented on TV Tropes). Needle and Hammer remain on the Good path; Scissors still locks Good.

Recommendation: plan Feather → Needle → Hammer, never buy Scissors, and treat the Hammer step as still counting toward Good. Do not burn a save trying to stay Feather-only if the remake pushes you upward.

Step-by-step route

1. Open on Hands

Click Harvey for $1 each until you can afford the first shop item. Listen to the early pitch — it frames why the money matters without yet forcing cruelty.

2. Buy Feather immediately at $100

Feather raises payout to $2 and stays thematically light (tickling / laughter). It is the intended quality-of-life buy for Good runners. Skipping Feather and staying on Hands the whole way is valid but far slower.

Rough math after Feather: you still need on the order of 12,500 Feather clicks to finish from near-zero after the purchase (interruptions and prior Hands clicks change the exact number). Plan a patient session — or advance to Needle/Hammer sooner, especially on Requiem.

Needle pays $4 and introduces clear pain and nervous Harvey dialogue. Good Ending remains available. Epilogue wording may shift from fully bloodless pride to “without getting too much blood on your hands.”

Use Needle if the Feather grind is burning you out, or if you are preparing for the remake’s possible Hammer push. Skip it only if you accept a longer click session and know your build may still force Hammer later.

4. Optional (often required on Requiem): Hammer at $1,500

Hammer pays $8. Visually and verbally harsher (injuries, stronger protests) but still Good-legal on documented remaster rules. Many players treat Hammer as the speed cap for Good: maximum legal DPS without crossing into Scissors. On Requiem, buying Hammer proactively avoids fighting a forced purchase mid-route.

5. Refuse Scissors forever

At $3,000 the shop offers Scissors. This is the firewall. Buying it moves you onto the Normal band (or worse if you continue). For Good, keep clicking with Hands / Feather / Needle / Hammer only until the total hits $25,000.

6. Stop when the goal completes

When the operation fund is full, play through the leaving sequence. Do not impulse-buy leftover shop items. Good is about the restraint you already practiced.

What you see (spoilers)

Harvey waves as you leave for surgery. The game acknowledges that you funded the operation without turning the booth into a slaughter. Tone is bittersweet rather than triumphant — you still used a stranger’s pain economy, but you refused the disfiguring tier.

Compared with Normal and the dedicated Bad Ending Gun route, Good has the least visceral aftermath and the highest time cost.

Time and comfort tips

  • Session length: Feather-focused Good runs can exceed an hour of active clicking for some players; Needle/Hammer shorten that dramatically.
  • Hand health: take breaks. This route is a marathon, not a QTE exam.
  • Audio: Harvey’s lines repeat — headphones at moderate volume help you catch shop cues without fatigue.
  • No Scissors “test buys.” There is no undo on the remaster lock.
  • Auto-clickers: some players use them for Feather grinds. That is a personal / ToS choice; the wiki only notes that the route is designed around high click counts.

Common failures

  1. Bought Scissors by habit after hammering through earlier upgrades — restart.
  2. Confused Hammer with the lock. Hammer is allowed; Scissors is not.
  3. Thought Gun was required for any ending. Gun is Bad-only. Good never needs it.
  4. Abandoned the run halfway thinking Good was soft-locked by Needle. It is not.
  5. Fought Feather-only on Requiem and got surprised by a forced Hammer buy — buy Needle/Hammer yourself and keep refusing Scissors.

Remaster baseline disclaimer

This page documents Good Ending conditions as carried from BLOODMONEY! into Requiem’s remake layer: $25k without Scissors, with Feather / Needle / Hammer permitted, plus the Requiem remake note that Feather-only can be forced toward Hammer. If a future patch changes shop gates or splits Good into multiple variants, verify in your build and prefer Updates over outdated third-party lists.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about endings, tools, and the Requiem remake.

Do I have to use only the Feather for the Good Ending?

No. Feather is the gentlest paid tool, but Needle and Hammer are also allowed. On Requiem, Feather-only can be forced toward Hammer — Feather → Needle → Hammer still counts as Good if you never buy Scissors.

How much money do I need?

Exactly the operation goal: $25,000. Hitting that total without Scissors triggers Good.

Is the Good Ending the hardest?

It is the longest and most patience-heavy. Mechanically it is simple — the challenge is refusing higher payouts. See also All Endings.

What if I already bought Scissors?

Good is locked on that run. Finish toward Normal (no Gun) or Bad (Gun), or restart a fresh file for Good.

Does Requiem change the Good Ending?

Scissors still locks Good. Requiem’s remake may force a Hammer purchase if you stay Feather-only; Needle/Hammer remain Good-legal. Campaign finales and secrets are on All Endings.
