How to Play BLOODMONEY Requiem — Day One

Learn the $25,000 goal, the shop ladder, and which early buys keep every ending open.

Getting Started

Before you click

BLOODMONEY: Requiem is a short single-player psychological horror clicker / visual novel from SHROOMYCHRIST Studios. It launched on Steam on September 15, 2026 for about $4.99, with itch.io availability noted in community listings. English is the supported Steam language. There is no multiplayer — this is a solitary morality grind.

You play someone who needs $25,000 for emergency surgery. Harvey Harvington appears in a roadside booth and offers $1 per click. The joke turns sour the moment the shop sells tools that pay more for hurting him harder. Requiem packages a full remake of 2025’s BLOODMONEY! with redone pastel art and a brand-new Requiem campaign. Treat the remastered booth rules below as the reliable baseline; Requiem may add systems we call out as incomplete elsewhere.

Content warning: gore, psychological horror, and flashing lights. Stop immediately if you are photosensitive.

First five minutes

  1. Launch and accept the premise. Dialogue establishes the operation debt and Harvey’s “deal of a lifetime.”
  2. Click Harvey. Bare hands pay $1 each. Early dialogue teaches the loop and teases the shop.
  3. Watch the shop button (upper left). When it glows, a new tool is available. Open it as soon as you can afford the Feather.
  4. Decide your route early. If you want the Good Ending, you must never buy Scissors. Feather, Needle, and Hammer are still allowed on the remaster baseline. If you do not care yet, play blind and return to All Endings later.
  5. Expect interruptions. Harvey talks, flinches, and occasionally stops the click spam with scripted beats. Keep listening — tone shifts telegraph how far you have gone.

Controls are point-and-click: mouse (or trackpad) on Harvey, UI buttons for shop and progression. There is no complex movement set. Storage footprint is tiny (~200 MB). Accessibility note: flashing sequences and gore are core; there is no “remove horror” toggle advertised on the store page.

The shop mindset (day one)

The remaster tool ladder doubles payout each step. Memorize only the early band on day one:

ToolCostPayout / clickDay-one note
Hands$1Default
Feather$100$2First buy; mostly ticklish; safe for Good
Needle$500$4First clear pain; still Good-legal
Hammer$1,500$8Violent but still Good-legal on remaster rules
Scissors$3,000$16Locks Good Ending — do not buy if chasing Good

Later tools (Match $6,000 / $32, Knife $10,000 / $64 with a QTE, Gun $20,000) belong to Normal / Bad routes. Full table and ending impact live on Items & Shop.

Practical tip: Buy Feather as soon as you hit $100. Sitting on Hands for the entire $25k goal is possible but extremely long. Feather halves the remaining click count versus Hands alone. Needle and Hammer shorten further while keeping Good available.

Choosing a first-run goal

Blind narrative run

Ignore ending guides. Buy what feels right. Expect ~10–30 minutes if you escalate tools, longer if you stay gentle. After credits, open All Endings to see what you missed.

Good Ending run

Follow How to Get the Good Ending. Cap purchases at Hammer. Plan for a long click session — the bloodless Feather-only variant can take a long time without an auto-clicker; Needle/Hammer cut the grind while changing the epilogue wording slightly (“without getting too much blood” vs “without getting any blood”).

Fast completion / Bad Ending curiosity

Climb the ladder aggressively toward Knife and Gun. Watch for the Knife confrontation QTE — failing it is a documented Game Over, not a story ending. Buying and using the Gun is the remaster Bad Ending path.

Remake vs Requiem on day one

Steam positions Requiem as:

  • A full remake of BLOODMONEY! (art, presentation, booth campaign).
  • An all-new Requiem campaign for “round two” with more money, more minutes, and more than three endings.

On day one, finish or at least sample the remastered booth so you understand Harvey, the shop, and the moral ratchet. Then move into Requiem with expectations set: extra finales exist, but this wiki does not pretend every Requiem-exclusive ending is fully charted yet. Details and honesty notes sit on Requiem Campaign.

Common early mistakes

  • Buying Scissors “just to see” on a Good save. On the remaster baseline that purchase locks Good. Restart if you care about that trophy/route.
  • Ignoring shop glow. Sitting on Hands after Feather is available wastes time.
  • Assuming Gun is just another DPS tool. It is an ending trigger at $20,000, not a neutral upgrade.
  • Panicking during Knife QTE. Failing is Game Over — practice the rhythm or reload an earlier state if the build allows.
  • Skipping content warnings. Flashing lights are called out on the Steam page for a reason.

Day one success looks like this: you understand the $25k goal, you know Scissors is the Good Ending firewall, you bought Feather on time, and you picked either a blind run or a named ending route before the mid-game tools tempt you into a lock you did not want.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about endings, tools, and the Requiem remake.

How long is a first BLOODMONEY Requiem run?

Remaster-style booth runs often land around 10–30 minutes if you upgrade tools. A Hands/Feather Good Ending grind can take much longer. Requiem adds extra campaign time on top.

What should I buy first in the shop?

The Feather ($100, $2 per click). It is the intended first unlock and stays compatible with the Good Ending. See Items & Shop for the full ladder.

Can I get the Good Ending if I already bought the Needle or Hammer?

Yes on the remaster baseline. Good requires reaching $25,000 without buying Scissors. Needle and Hammer are allowed; Scissors is the lock. Full steps: Good Ending.

Is BLOODMONEY Requiem only a remake?

No. It remasters the original booth campaign and adds a new Requiem campaign with more than three endings advertised. Overview: Requiem Campaign.

Are there flashing lights?

Yes. The Steam page warns photosensitive players not to play. Expect gore and psychological horror as well.
