Items & Shop Guide

How the shop works

In BLOODMONEY: Requiem’s remade booth campaign, Harvey pays you per click and sells tools that raise that payout. The shop sits in the upper left. When the button glows, a new item is available. Buy only what your ending route allows.

This page documents the original BLOODMONEY! tool ladder as the remaster baseline. Requiem may expand the catalog in the new campaign — if your live build shows different prices or extra tools, trust the build and treat unmatched rows as remaster reference. Campaign context: Requiem Campaign. Ending locks: All Endings. Restraint route: Good Ending. Day one: Getting Started. Index: Guides Hub.

Content warning: later tools depict gore and cruelty. The game also warns about flashing lights.

Full remaster tool ladder

ToolCostPayout / clickEnding impact
Hands$1Default; Good-legal
Feather$100$2First upgrade; Good-legal
Needle$500$4First clear pain; Good-legal
Hammer$1,500$8Heavy violence; still Good-legal
Scissors$3,000$16Locks Good Ending; enters Normal band
Match$6,000$32Disfiguring / burns; Normal if no Gun
Knife$10,000$64Includes confrontation QTE; fail = Game Over
Gun$20,000Ending itemTriggers Bad Ending when used

Payouts double each step after Hands. That curve is the entire temptation design: every purchase shortens the grind and darkens the story.

Tool-by-tool notes

Hands — $1

Bare clicks. Valid for Good if you somehow never shop, but painfully slow toward $25,000. Mostly a tutorial state.

Feather — $100 / $2

First real buy. Harvey reacts as if tickled; tone stays almost playful. Best first purchase for every route, including Good. After Feather, remaining clicks to $25k drop sharply versus Hands-only.

Needle — $500 / $4

Pain enters the fantasy. Harvey sounds nervous; minor wounds appear. Still Good-legal. Use it when Feather fatigue sets in. Epilogue text for Good may acknowledge “too much” blood rather than none.

Hammer — $1,500 / $8

Blunt-force escalation: stronger injuries and protests. Remaster rules still allow Good if you stop here. Many Good runners treat Hammer as their DPS cap.

Scissors — $3,000 / $16

Point of no return for Good. First clearly disfiguring tool (eye / face trauma in the original staging). Buying Scissors moves you into Normal territory if you later hit $25k without the Gun. Never “trial buy” on a Good save.

Match — $6,000 / $32

Fire and burns; clothing and skin suffer. Faster income, heavier horror. Still compatible with Normal if you refuse the Gun.

Knife — $10,000 / $64

Peak pre-Gun DPS. Harvey’s dialogue turns accusatory. After enough Knife use, he interrupts and forces a reactive sequence — succeed to continue, fail for Game Over. Budget focus and a calm click rhythm; this is the mechanical fail state of the remaster ladder.

Gun — $20,000

Not a neutral farming tool. Purchasing and firing is the Bad Ending path. Shop presentation may obscure what the $20k item is until you commit. If you still want Normal, stop buying after Knife (and survive the QTE) while you finish $25k.

Route loadouts

Good Ending loadout

Allowed: Hands, Feather, Needle, Hammer.
Forbidden: Scissors, Match, Knife, Gun.
Target: $25,000.
Guide: How to Get the Good Ending.

Suggested buy order: Feather → (optional Needle) → (optional Hammer) → grind.

Normal Ending loadout

Buy through Scissors at minimum; Match/Knife optional.
Do not buy Gun.
Survive Knife QTE if you take Knife.
Target: $25,000.

Bad Ending loadout

Climb until you can afford Gun, then use it. Knife QTE still matters on the way. Details: All Endings.

Click economy tips

  • Buy on glow. Sitting on an outdated tool after a cheaper upgrade is available wastes time on every route except intentional challenge runs.
  • Count backward from $25k. Example: at $8/click (Hammer) you need far fewer actions than at $2/click (Feather). Use that to estimate session length before you commit to Good.
  • Interruptions count. Scripted talks pause income; do not assume raw math equals real time.
  • Gun money is not operation money. Bad Ending short-circuits the moral fantasy with a different payout beat — do not confuse it with a friendly efficiency upgrade.
  • Requiem expansions. If the new campaign introduces tools beyond this table, screenshot prices and compare later; this sheet stays labeled as remaster baseline on purpose.

Shop UI habits

  1. Glance at the upper-left button after major cash thresholds ($100, $500, $1,500, $3,000, …).
  2. Read Harvey’s reaction the first time you equip a new tool — reactions double as route feedback.
  3. On Good runs, treat the Scissors glow like a trap UI element.
  4. Before Knife, make sure you are ready for a QTE, not AFK grinding.

Accuracy note

Costs and payouts above match widely documented BLOODMONEY! values: Feather $100/$2, Needle $500/$4, Hammer $1500/$8, Scissors $3000/$16, Match $6000/$32, Knife $10000/$64, Gun $20000. Ending gates (Scissors locks Good; Gun is Bad; Knife fail is Game Over) follow that same baseline. Requiem may add items or adjust numbers in the new campaign — those changes will be listed here only after verification, not guessed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about endings, tools, and the Requiem remake.

Which shop item locks the Good Ending?

Scissors at $3,000 ($16 per click). Everything before it (Feather, Needle, Hammer) is still Good-legal on the remaster baseline.

What does the Knife QTE fail do?

It causes Game Over — a fail state, not the Bad Ending. Bad Ending requires the Gun. See All Endings.

Is the Gun required to finish the game?

No. Good and Normal both finish at $25,000 without it. Gun is the Bad Ending purchase.

Do payouts really double each tool?

Yes on the remaster ladder: $1 → $2 → $4 → $8 → $16 → $32 → $64 for Hands through Knife.

Will Requiem add more shop tools?

Possibly. Steam promises more campaign content and endings. This page sticks to the documented remaster baseline until extras are confirmed — Requiem Campaign.
